'Wits is ours' was written on one of the student's placards during the fees must fall protest. Held in Wits university outside the Solomon Mahlangu hall. The project looks at both the students and the police, announce and challenge each other's temporal ownership of the space during the protest. It presents the different types of announcements both sides used during the protest. The video looks at what happens when boundaries are unseen in spaces where ownership is announced and continually challenged.
The project also presents sounds extracted from the video. To see what narratives do they contain on their own versus the narratives they tell when played in a video.
